SASD Athletic Games & Contest

The Smethport Hubbers will begin athletic competition on September 14, 2020. Admission will be by ticket only. We will distribute a limited number of tickets to participants for their family members.

Schools are required to limit attendance at events. The 250 outside and 25 inside rules apply to all events and include contest participants, band members, cheerleaders, officials, and event staff. To provide the best possible game experience for family and friends and support for our student event participants, everyone must understand and follow the SASD Sports Ticket Guidelines. Please take the time to read and review the guidelines and the notice from the PIAA.

SASD apologizes to all of our community supporters who will not be able to come out and support the Orange and Black as we enjoy our fall school events. We are planning to live stream as many home events as possible. Please visit our website, find the live stream links and support the Hubbers by watching the game on your favorite streaming device. We will post the links on Monday, September 14, 2020.

We are hopeful to provide additional tickets if the numbers change. For now, ticket distribution will be per game for football contests. Unfortunately, we cannot admit anyone to volleyball contests.

Thank you for your support, understanding, and consideration.

Safety Reminder

Do your part. Be Smart. Be safe!

Working together we can keep our schools safe and free from the COVID-19 virus. Students and staff will need to wear face coverings, social distance to the extent possible, wash hands frequently, avoid touching their face, limit travel out of the area, and avoid close contact with others. Above all, students who are not feeling well, need to remain at home. We will be cleaning and doing the extra things at school to help us avoid the virus. The strategies are very simple. If everyone joins in and supports the effort, we can keep students and staff safe and keep our schools open all year long! Area doctors are all very supportive of students wearing face coverings. Wearing face coverings is a wise practice that will help us stay safe and keep our schools open! Do your part. Be smart. Be safe!

SASD Buses Equipped with Audio and Video Recording

We are notifying parents, guardians, family members, and students that SASD equips school buses with audio and video recording equipment. The board authorizes the use of video and audio recording on school buses and school vehicles for disciplinary and security purposes. We will utilize bus cameras that record both video and audio on the bus for any transportation with a school-related purpose. Please view SASD Policy 810.2. We are doing this to promote the safety of all students who ride Smethport school buses.
